The Power of Testimonials

We’re sure you’ve seen them before. A lot of businesses use customer reviews, or testimonials, on their websites to help market themselves. What these testimonials do is provide customers with an example of how the business works and the kind of service they provide. Of course, this is something we all explain on our websites, as well! But it will always mean more coming from another customer.

Testimonials Help Build Trust

When someone reads a testimonial written by another customer, it helps build trust in your brand. Now it’s no longer you talking about your strengths and what you can offer, but someone else saying it. You’re always going to present yourself in the best light! Having someone else also portray you in a great light shows that you’re credible to work with. It’s an extra assurance for a new customer that you are who you say you are.

People Who Write Testimonials are More Likely to Refer You

If someone is willing to write a testimonial for your website, then they’re more likely to refer you to someone in their network. By writing a testimonial, they get to practice what they would say about you. This then makes them more likely to refer you to a friend. They already know what they’re going to say! These types of referrals can also be such a great source of new business because that person has a connection to someone you’ve worked with before.

They Provide Material for Your Social Media

You can use testimonials for social media posts. This helps build your brand through social media, which is an incredibly powerful tool for expansion. They give you something to show for the work you’ve done and also allow you to talk about your services. You can also use them in your FAQ sections or in other areas of your website to help increase your search engine optimization (SEO).

Curious as to what testimonials look like? Check out the ones on our website! If you have clients or customers you’ve worked with in the past who were happy with your services, consider asking them to write a testimonial for your website or social media!
